Dr. Allison Bachlet
Dr. Allison Bachlet offers sessions in Clinical Nutrition and Naturopathic Medicine at Manakai O Malama. She received her PhD in Nutrition at the University of Oxford, England where she was a Rhodes Scholar and then completed her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine at The Boucher Institute, located in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. Her areas of specialty include pediatrics, gastrointestinal health, neurological disorders, mental illness and chronic pain and disease. She practices all modalities of Naturopathic Medicine including homeopathy and herbalism and utilizes dietary supplements and clinical nutrition to optimize the health of her patients. Dr. Allison completed her Honors BSc in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph, Canada. Her passion for wellness started here and manifested as volunteer work at a pediatric hospital and as a peer wellness educator. She also worked in the fitness and health industry as a fitness instructor and received a national grant to pursue research into essential fatty acids and breast cancer.
She won a Rhodes Scholarship in 2000 and completed her PhD at the University of Oxford, England, in the Faculty of Clinical Medicine, Department of Paediatrics. Her work in pediatric nutrition, gastroenterology and neurological disabilities won awards at several international conferences.
The Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver, Canada, is where Dr. Allison received her ND and found her true calling. Dr. Allison combines her knowledge of clinical science with her passion for alternative healing methods to provide the best care possible for her patients.
Dr. Allison’s areas of interest include pediatrics and adolescent health, neurological dysfunction, mental / emotional wellness, gastrointestinal health (including food allergies and intolerances) and chronic illness.
