Robert Reid Sloan, MD

Robert Reid Sloan, M.D.

Dr. Sloan has been practicing physical medicine and rehabilitation in Hawaii since 1991. He currently practices full-time at Manakai O Malama Integrative Healthcare Group and Rehabilitation Center and specializes in: orthopedics and sports medicine, physical medicine, nerve studies (EMG/NCV) and neuromuscular trauma.

He earned his medical degree from the University Of California Davis School Of Medicine in 1987. He completed a surgical internship at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation with the University California Davis Medical Center.

Dr. Sloan is board certified with the American Board of Physical Medicine and the Rehabilitation and National Board of Medical Examiners. He is also a founding member of the State Brain Injury Advisory Board. He has served as a supervising physician at the Winter Olympics, Salt Lake City in 2002, and the U.S. Olympics Training Center in San Diego in 1996. He was also a supervising physician for the Iron Man triathlon in Kona. He has served as the medical director for the brain injury unit and the chronic pain program at Rehabilitation Hospital. He now serves as Assistant clinical professor for the University Of Hawaii, John Burns School of Medicine.
