Platelet Rich Plasma
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical blood platelet injection treatment that is typically used to treat injuries to the muscle, tendons and joints. PRP treatments can be effective because platelets have a stimulating effect on the stem cells within the targeted area. Blood platelets are responsible for attracting white blood cells to clean up injured cells while increasing growth factor production which stimulates regeneration and speeds up the healing process. Commonly treated conditions include: Osteoarthritis pain, plantar fasciitis, shoulder/elbow/hip/back pain or injuries, tendinitis, ligament sprains.
